After a 9-month hiatus, CrazySaver.com is back on-line. The Internet discount retailer was taken off-line in February as the Ventura, CA based creative team pursued the launch of the specialty retail web site ChairGuys.com.
“While building ChairGuys.com we made some major improvements on some of the back-end operations of the site. It was during this process that we decided to go back and restructure CrazySaver.com to make similar improvements in the overall function of the site,” said the company’s webmasters.
In addition to the technical changes, CrazySaver.com also features some new promotional offers, designed to increase value for customers.
“Consumers have the option of buying individual items, or buying selected items in case packs. By selling manufacturers’ case packs, we don’t have to repackage the goods. That allows us to save money on the cost of packaging and on the cost of labor for handling the goods, and we want to pass along those savings to consumers,” said a Merchandising Department spokesperson.
CrazySaver.com also plans to offer bonus buy items to accompany the purchase items from the same manufacturer on selected items. The site features products for the home and garden for many uses, from health and beauty, to cooking.
CrazySaver.com was originally launched in August 2002 under the name OverstockSafari.com. In March 2003 the site changed its name to CrazySaver.com. The on-line store at CrazySaver.com was taken off-line in February 2005 and re-launched in Beta mode on October 1, 2005. The re-launch of the site was timed to coincide with the holiday season.
ChairGuys.com was launched in April 2005. It is a specialty retailer featuring low back, mid back and high back office chairs, mesh office chairs and big/tall office chairs. ChairGuys.com is the largest on-line reseller of chairs manufactured by ChairWorks. ChairWorks manufactures chairs under the ChairWorks brand and the Sealy Posturepedic brand.
